At 22:00 on December 21st (local time), in the outdoor temperature of nearly minus 30 degrees Celsius, a heavy equipment – hydrotreating reactor (R-1) of Russia HIDW Project was successfully hoisted, which is a mark of official commencement of winterization work. R-1 equipment is 37 meters long, 5.2 meters wide, 2.3 meters in diameter, with a total weight of nearly 380 tons. It is the heaviest equipment in HIDW project. Before equipment lifting, the project team fully communicated with the owner, the management company and the subcontractor, and carefully arranged the equipment transportation to site, lifting area, crane stand position, equipment transportation time, verification of lifting weight and other works.
