On the afternoon of October 18, 2024, China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven, Ltd. (CC7) successfully held the Silk Road Rendezvous – a cultural event promoting high-quality development within the Belt and Road initiative. This event, followed the conclusion of the High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation Conference, took place amidst the crisp autumn air, rich with the fragrance of osmanthus, symbolizing the season’s prosperity and bountiful harvest.

The event presented a rich cultural feast to all participants through 14 artistic performances of three chapters with distinct themes and diverse forms, paying tribute to CC7’s glorious 6 decades journey. The opening chapter of the event was marked by the performance Six Brilliant Decades·in Soaring Drum and Rhythms,  a joint performance by various headquarters departments. The performance seamlessly blended the powerful and resonant Chinese drums with the graceful silk ribbon dance, vividly showcasing CC7’s firm steps and resilient growth throughout its 6-decade long journey.

Chapter One, through a retrospective of the course of CC7's founding in service to the nation, showcased the spirit of CC7’s courage in exploration and innovation. In the splendid performances, the audience embarked on a symbolic voyage aboard the CC7 vessel, carrying hopes and dreams, slowly setting sail across the vast seas of chemical construction. The Luzhou branch presented a scene play titled Emerging·Eventful Years, which reproduced the story of CC7’s older generation responding to the national call by throwing themselves into the large-scale construction in China’s Central and Western regions including the construction of Lutianhua project. The performance praised their unity, selfless dedication, and hardworking spirit. Meanwhile, the Guangdong branch captivated the audience with their clapper talk titled Ode to the Six Decades of Splendor, which vividly depicted CC7’s extraordinary journey from its humble beginnings to its proud standing in the chemical industry. This performance showcased the indomitable will and fighting spirit of CC7 employees. The headquarters departments added to the excitement with their dance performance Legacy, which vividly illustrated the CC7’s fine tradition of passing on skills from the older generation to the new. This performance reflected both the profound heritage of craftsmanship and the vigorous vitality that continues to thrive within CC7. At the closing of Chapter One, the Xinjiang branch presented a situational drama Writing Legends at the Foot of Tianshan Mountains, which reviewed the history of CC7 people heading west to support Xinjiang development and taking roots there. After 45 years of dedicated development, CC7 was firmly established itself in Xinjiang, writing a legendary story at the foot of Tianshan Mountains.

Chapter Two featured the rich connotation that vividly recurred CC7’s journey of unwavering belief, braving the waves of the times, forging ahead, climbing new heights, and conquering numerous challenges in its leap-forward development. CC7 has achieved substantial accomplishments in the domestic market, made significant strides on the international stage, and notably enhanced its brand influence. Under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative, it has subsequently made a gorgeous turn from catch-up to lead. Ode to CC7 Fujian Branch's Spirit of Breaking Waves and Advancing told the story of Fujian branch employees bidding a heartfelt farewell to their loved ones as they set off for distant lands to participate in construction projects, embodying the true essence of love and growth. The overseas project department's performance New Interpretations of Traditional Opera creatively integrated CC7’s six decades of journey of perseverance and growth into the classic melodies of traditional opera, innovatively honoring CC7 people who overcame challenges and persevered in their endeavors. The Uzbekistan branch’s performance Dancing Along the Silk Road is filled with rich ethnic flavor and deep cultural heritage. Dressed in traditional Uzbek costumes, the dancers immersed themselves in the melodies of traditional music while presenting a tribute to CC7’s six decades anniversary, highlighting the spirit of the Silk Road: openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning, and mutual respect. Centered around character Hu Xianwen, The Light Chaser, a situational drama presented by the Chengdu branch, unfolded the typical story emerging from China’s first overseas national chemical project. It celebrated the development opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative, shared the hardships encountered during the overseas venture, and praised the friendship forged across international borders. Four young people from different countries sang together in praise of the Belt and Road Initiative, while 12 energetic dancers brought vitality to the stage. The performers sang and danced with passion, warmly acclaiming the vigor and prosperity of the Silk Road, and vividly portraying the deep integration of cultures.

Chapter Three showcased the CC7's confidence and determination to take the next step towards a bright future with even firmer strides. Building on the foundation of its six-decade achievements, CC7 will steer its future with wisdom and set sail with innovation, leading the industry and continuing to write a splendid chapter. CC7 ME’s recital performance United in Building Dreams emotionally told the touching stories of the people of various countries along the Belt and Road, highlighting the deep bonds and friendships forged between individuals, enterprises, and nations as they grew together in prosperity. The Chongqing branch's performance How Far I’ll Go employed powerful vocals to inspire morale, rally strength, and unite efforts to sail bravely toward the future. The Overseas branch's performance Natasha's Diary recounted a humorous episode before Natasha and her Chinese husband got married, praising CC7’s employees for their broad vision, selfless dedication, and optimistic spirit. Four employees from CC7 headquarters performed Expedition, blending ethnic and popular singing styles to express their blessings for the nation’s prosperity and their expectations for CC7’s high-quality development.

Through the performances of both domestic and international cast members, the audience deeply immersed in CC7’s magnificent journey spanning 6 decades, sensing the storms and hardships endured, and marveling at its glorious achievements during this period. The atmosphere at the scene was passionate, and the event concluded perfectly amidst the resounding applause.

Over the course of seventy-five years of magnificent advancement, the motherland has marched toward prosperity and strength with ever-changing vigor; Within this grand narrative of national progress, during their six decades through trials and hardships, the CC7 people have moved forward together, forging brilliance with unwavering determination! Standing at this new starting point, CC7 remains committed to advancing alongside the nation, pursuing its dreams with steadfast determination, and actively engaging in the Belt and Road Initiative. Furthermore, we will deeply implement the CNCEC's “135” development strategy, expedite the formation of a new paradigm of One Focus and Two Boosters, and strive to reach Two World-Class goals.
